My first post!

This is ever so exciting. My first ever post on a blog. Gosh. I can't think of anything to say. Or write. I suppose I just can't think, full stop.

Quite frankly, the chances of this making it to the realm of "lasting first blog" are quite slim - I'll probably have things to change, and want to make a better first impression.

ANYway, I suppose I should start with something about what I've done today, so let's do that, shall we? Well, you won't do anything, gentle reader (and you ARE gentle, I'll have you know. This blog is unavailable to prisoners and gangsters. It's all in the html and javascripting code. honest.) (As an aside, I just had to look up whether or not the "it's" above should have the apostrophe, which, obviously, as I've left it as it is, it should. Huh. I couldn't' have written "as I've left it as it's" though, even though that contraction is correct too. Well, I could've, but gosh and darn, isn't it weird?)

Today I have:
1. learnt that I could burn a dvd of my photos properly
2. setup a blog
3. caught a late night taxi (well, I did that this morning. Early this morning.)
4. etc

It hasn't been that riveting, and it should be, as this is My Last Day in Singapore, and indeed, My Last Day in South East Asia. Where, of course, I'm referring to my last FULL day. I leave tomorrow for INDIA, which is all very exciting. Also a little worrying, although I don't know why. Something about a date... a date with DESTINY, and I'm just not sure if she'll stand me up or not. I hope not.

Whoo. I'm still a little anxious about the whole India thing. Those of you whom know me (and I'll assume that would be anyone reading this blog, because why else would you read it? The razor-sharp wit? The gorgeous photos? the desire to find out who I am and give me money? I hope so), and you know whom you are, will know that I might be somewhat... antsy at times. This can lead to all sorts of things, such as babbling, rambling, hyperuse of bracketed comments, and clever witticisms about my writing style. Which is recursive in itself, that last point, so I don't need to keep on going on with "and clever witticisms about clever witticisms about my writing style".

Bleh. Ok, so, that's that then. My first post. You've learnt sweet nought about what my travels have been like - and so, with much haste, I should begin the next blog, which will be about what I *have* been doing. I think. Planning is not my forte.

Hi Horatio! It is I, Bandit Bob, your old mentor from our days in Yemen. I hope you are well. My dog Nancy had the gout the other day, but is otherwise ok. My hip is acting up, but Carl just says that happens with age.
